Political Preferences of QCA Methods Institutes? A Comment on the Availability and Gender Gap Disparity Problems

In this research note, I examine a set of two interrelated questions about the Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) methods institutes. First, assembled and analyzed novel dataset that tracks every QCA related training worldwide from 2002 to 2018. My examination finds although trainings are becoming more popular in Europe, US is still single most frequent host country for such events. Secondly, extent which gender gap exists among instructors. findings show female instructors severely under-represented, likely limits their academic professional opportunities. Thus, community appears be marked by same structural challenges diversity equality as other areas political science. Overall, paper should interest scholars interested impact infrastructures on future trajectories well those concerned academia.
